This position will oversee long term disaster case management services to program eligible survivors of natural disasters and help CDRC fulfill its mission.

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.  Experience: One to three years of relevant experience in non-profit administration, case management; experience with disaster response case management preferred. Experience supervising volunteers, preferred.   Specific skills/abilities: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to handle all information with the utmost confidentiality.  Computer literate and knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point). Possess sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. The ability to work effectively within a church related agency and specifically the Lutheran Church constituents.  Specialized knowledge, licenses, etc: Valid Driver’s license and excellent driving record.


FAMILY UNITY FAIR REPORT:  CDRC hopes that you made it out to the 1st Annual Family Unity Fair in Festival Park on April 14th, 2018. This year’s event, which was well attended by the public, was co-sponsored by CDRC and Snyder Memorial Baptist Church.  We had 60+ vendors whose services included disaster and recovery, housing assistance, eliminating hunger, clothing, mental health and family services, just to name a few!  The Family Unity Fair was a huge success and we are already planning for next year’s event.

We will have ongoing activities on how you can prepare for a disaster and actions to take if a disaster impacts you!
